If you’re a sports fan and haven’t yet talked about Blake Griffin, then you better start. No, when I mean talk about him, I mean all the time. This Clipper power forward has immediately impacted the NBA with his insane abilities.

Ladies and gentlemen, let’s give a hand to the NEW Vince Carter of the league!

How good is Blake Griffin you ask? The young phenom has only been in the league for two years (one year in injured reserve) and has already a top 10 dunk video in NBA.COM. While not everything is about dunks and that’s a given, its wonderful to see that Blake Griffin also brings a fundamental aspect to his game. The #1 draft pick in the 2009-10 NBA draft is currently averaging 22.8 points per game, a whopping 12.7 rebounds, and drum role please ……..

The best stat of his young career as of yet, Griffin is shooting 51% from the field. Add that with 54% from the three point line and goodness gracious, we have ourselves a stud! If we wanted to knit pick, we could say that Griffin’s free throw percentage needs to increase, but who needs to shoot from the line when the PF is constantly creating three point plays.

AND ONE! This seems to be a constant thing in L.A nowadays. Get use to it, it’s going to be the theme for a while.

The guy has literally lit a fire under the team and has made the Los Angeles Clippers important again. Seriously, how many Clippers you know is actually worth even remembering? We have Bob McAdoo in the early 70s, Bill Walton in the 80s, Danny Manning in the 90s, and guess who will be representing the current millennium, who else but Blake Griffin.

It’s so hard to find a player with so much talent. Players come and go, but real talent will always be remembered. Blake Griffin exudes this ability worldwide and sooner or later, he will become one of the new faces for the NBA. Shoot. What am I talking about… he already is.

If you want to see Blake display his freakish ability on the hardwood, tune in to the upcoming NBA Sprite Slam Dunk Contest at the Staples Center on Saturday, Feb. 19th.
