The Fans Have Spoken: Cleveland Browns Running Back Peyton Hillis Selected To Grace The Front Cover of Madden 12

To all the video game lovers who are addicted to sports, Madden is back and better than ever! The new installment of the game titled “Madden NFL 12” will be released on August 30, 2011. As most of you know on a yearly basis, EA Sports, creator of the Madden series, will choose an NFL football star to grace the cover of the video game. In this year’s new version of Madden, Cleveland Browns running back, Peyton Hillis, has been chosen to be Madden 12’s new NFL icon.

For the selection process, a decision needed to be made between Browns RB Peyton Hillis and Eagles QB Michael Vick. It was the first time that a Madden game cover was voted by the fans. By unanimous decision, the Brown’s power running back Peyton Hillis was announced to be Madden 12’s new cover model.

According to, when asked about being selected for the cover, Peyton Hillis stated:

“It feels great. It’s a blessing and I owe everybody at EA Sports and the city of Cleveland. It’s a dream come true.”

Hillis also expressed gratitude towards QB Michael Vick by stating:

“Michael is a great guy. He knows as well as I know he probably deserves it a little bit more than me. I’m happy for him and I know he’s happy for me so it’s great.”

Peyton Hillis is definitely a modest guy. In review of it all, EA Sports and the fans made a great decision. Hillis impacted the Cleveland Browns in many ways and this running back deserves to be recognized. Congratulations to Peyton Hillis for becoming the new cover athlete for the Madden 12 video game.
