According to TMZ.com, sources indicate that the Orlando Police Department had visited the home of Tennessee Titans starting running back Chris Johnson. After allegedly receiving an anonymous tip regarding illegal activity on Tuesday, May 3rd, the Orlando Police decided to knock on Johnson’s door and investigate the premises.
After performing a careful and thorough inspection, the Orlando Police was not able to find any illegal substance or activity. Instead, the police found the MTV camera crew, who supposedly was filming Chris Johnson and his amazing condominium as one of the new episodes to be seen in the show, “CRIBS.” Oops!
Even with all the commotion, Chris Johnson managed to stay calm and treat the police with respect. After the police had the left the scene, Johnson tweeted the following:
“Y did the police just walk in my condo saying they think it’s drug activity because it’s alot of traffic but it was the MTV camera crew.”
Once again, the “boys in blue” put themselves in a bad situation. Investigating a suspicious home is quite all right, but it would’ve been wise to first make sure there is actual legitimate evidence. While no harm was done, it’s clear that the Orlando Police made a bad judgment call.
At the end of the day, running back Chris Johnson tweeted again:
“Hard being young, black and rich.”
