With the NBA season finished and a possible NBA lockout next year, it’s hard to tell when the next time fans will be able to watch basketball again. A couple of days ago, the National Basketball Association had just announced that the NBA would be canceling its Summer League in Las Vegas.
We all know the situation with the NFL and how difficult it is becoming in terms of negotiations. While it’s unclear as to how the NBA will resolve the terms regarding the possible lockout, many players, especially incoming rookies are bracing themselves for the worst.
With all the negative speculation, it’s great to know that some NBA players aren’t following the hype and are taking advantage of the off-season. One of these athletes is Oklahoma Thunder’s superstar Kevin Durant. This past weekend in Los Angeles, California, Kevin Durant had taken the Drew Pro-Am Summer League to another level.
After getting the loose ball off a bad shot from the opponent, Durant streaked down the court and performed an incredible dunk that you would most likely only see in an All-Star game.
From the free throw line in continuous motion, Kevin Durant lobbed the basketball to the backboard, took two giant steps and BANG!
Durant had caught the basketball off the backboard with his right hand and performed one of most impressive tomahawk dunks the sport of basketball has ever seen.
It was an unbelievable move that will be talked about by fans for a very long time. At second thought, at least until the NBA wakes up and provides us with some very much needed basketball.
