Most sports professionals hate losing at anything and Larry Fitzgerald is no exception.
Up against Summer Sanders, a well-known U.S. Olympic swimmer, Fitzgerald needed to somehow figure out a way to take the early lead. What else better way to take the lead than by cheating and diving into the water way ahead of time?
Ready… Get Set… There GOES Fitzgerald!
Clearly, the Cardinals wide receiver had no intentions of losing and was going to do whatever it took to beat the U.S. Olympian.
Summer Sanders still came very close to beating Larry Fitzgerald, which would’ve been totally embarrassing.
After losing the swimming contest, Summer Sanders joked around by saying,
“I got to get back in the pool… my career is over!”
Larry Fitzgerald, on the other hand, was passionate about the victory stating,
“Yeah Baby, Yeah, that’s a win. If you’re not cheating, then you’re not trying!”
It seemed like Larry Fitzgerald loved the off-season a little bit too much.
