Melo Who? Lin-sanity Has Taken Over Madison Square Garden

By CDR

After starting and winning five consecutive games in amazing fashion, Jeremy Lin has officially swept through the city of New York like a massive tidal wave. The 23-year-old basketball player out of Harvard University has revitalized the New York Knicks organization and has easily been the most improbable story, thus far in the NBA.

As the season moves along, the Jeremy Lin fan base continues to increase by the minute. An ample amount of Jeremy Lin basketball jerseys are quickly being bought off the racks and some stores have actually even sold out.

So what happens when there are no more Lin-sanity jerseys? When the going gets tough, one must need to improvise. Why wait for a new batch of Lin jerseys to come in when you can just take the old “Melo” jersey and design it yourself? I know what you’re thinking; it’s hilarious but very disrespectful. I wonder what Carmelo Anthony is thinking right now? After seeing this picture, I would bet nothing positive.

This image alone explains how much fans truly care about winning. It’s amazing what can happen when a young and hungry basketball player takes advantage of a great opportunity.

After beating the Wizards on Wednesday night, Jeremy Lin had signed a guaranteed deal with New York. With the help of an ex-Knick and previous teammate at Golden State, Lin is currently staying in a New York condominium, which used to be owned by David Lee. Pretty cool huh?

It’s now safe to say that the New York Knicks are “ALL-LIN.”

  1. Sam Brief says:

You called it first, my man! Linsanity is definitely the Tebowtime of the NBA. It’ll be interesting to see what happens once Anthony and Stoudamire come back.

    • CDR says:

I agree 100% with you Sam. Melo has always been known to keep the ball… When he returns, he’ll need to understand the scheme and that is to play “team ball.” If he can play in this type of offense, the Knicks are going to be suddenly one of the teams to beat in the East.

  2. It’ll be interesting to see how the three of them can co-exist when Amare and ‘Melo get back on the floor.

    • CDR says:

I am interested to see it for myself as well. Lin’s production will definitely take a major blow, but can Melo work through the offense? No more one on one isolations, let Lin feed the ball and take it from there.

By the way, did you hear? Floyd Mayweather just accused Jeremy Lin of using steroids. The guy is crazy… hehe

  3. We all eagerly await what happens when the Knicks get back to full strength. Will everyone play nice with each other and see the potential of the extra pass or the “guy left alone?” Whatever happens, the NBA image-makers now have their wish granted of having a real story/reason to keep an eye on the New York franchise going forward. The entire league benefits from a winning, revelant team in the Big Apple. The excitement will continue to climb depending on Lin’s staying power…and how his game fits in with others’.

    • CDR says:

You hit it right on the head Bruce. Couldn’t summarize it any better. It’ll be somewhat different for Melo, but again, if he could make it work… the Knicks will be a dangerous team.

Is it me or has no one yet commented on the image on this post… to me, this is hilarious… the guy simply just disrespected Carmelo Anthony. hehe

  4. tophatal says:

And now Money Mayweather is using the “race card “ in following Jason Whitlock’s footsteps concerning Lin’s recent accomplishments . I say ” screw idiots ” like Mayweather and Whitlock whose IQ’s collectively would still be just marginally higher than Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian’s combined ! But that’s not saying a lot to begin with Kim K and Paris Hilton ! That’s not hot !

    tophatal …………………..

    • CDR says:

This really gets on my nerves. Jeremy Lin is playing his heart out and all Mayweather can say is race? Wow, sometimes I really don’t have any words for this guy.

  5. Bobby Charts says:

This is why I don’t buy jerseys for my teams anymore until they’re done playing for my team, lol.
Like I’m good with a C-Webb Kings jersey, but a player that might get traded after one-three years, not anymore after several times of wasting money, lol.

Great pic, like all the millions being spent on Lin jerseys and in three years if he is not in the league, I hope not but just an example. LOL

    • CDR says:

I hear you Bobby! NBA free agency has transformed into a whole new monster. Players nowadays don’t last long in one team, which takes away the importance of purchasing their jerseys. I am definitely with you… unless the player has signed a multi-year deal, I’d hesitate to buy their jerseys.
