Future Hall of Fame quarterback and free agent, Peyton Manning had gone out to eat at the Angus Barn Steakhouse located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Manning’s waiter, who according to the receipt was named “Jon”, decided to take a picture of the restaurant’s signed copy. This is where the situation got a bit dicey.
According to the Triangle Business Journal, under no circumstances are employees of the Angus Barn restaurant able to release information pertaining its customers. The owner of the establishment, Eure was furious and upon hearing the news immediately terminated the employee “Jon” without hesitation.
“This goes against every policy we have,” said Eure. “It’s just horrible.”
In review of the situation, employee “Jon” probably didn’t care too much about his job. The guy was star-struck and couldn’t resist telling all his friends that he had just served Peyton Manning. We hope it was worth it “Jon”… we do.
Manning’s overall tab was $739.58, this amount already including an 18% gratuity. The credit card holder left a tip of $200 and made the final bill $939.58. Manning’s tip was $332.81, essentially 45% tip to the restaurant.
Now, that’s how you eat ladies and gentlemen.
