In preparation for the NBA 2012-13 season, Boston Celtics’ newly acquired shooting guard Jason Terry wants to ensure he performs at a high level when it comes to playing within coach Doc Rivers’ offensive scheme.
Boston had signed shooting guard Jason Terry to a three-year deal after finding out that Ray Allen had committed to the Miami Heat.
We all know that Jason Terry is admittedly one of the best shooters in the league, but we also have to pay homage to Ray Allen who most likely will go down as one of the best NBA players to ever shoot a basketball.
No matter how good of a shooter Jason Terry has been, the “Jet” also recognizes just how important Ray Allen was to the Boston Celtics. With this in mind, Jason Terry made the decision to watch tape of Ray Allen in order to make his transition with the Celtics as smooth as possible.
“I have been watching film and watching Ray Allen, the way he maneuvers and works off screens,” Terry said, noting that one of his goals this off-season has been to become a better jump shooter while curling off of said screens.
“I believe in [Celtics head coach] Doc [Rivers]‘ system. He’ll have me do some of those things, so curling the three, that’s a tough shot, it’s off balance. And that’s just one that I will add.”
If you want to be great at something, the act of learning never stops.

The Celtics are going to need Terry if they intend to meet the might of the Heat this season.
Furthermore this upcoming season especially in the first 15 or 20 games we’re going to see some awfully inept NBA basketball. Reasons? Players who were participants in London will be mentally and physically fatigued.

With the Lakers and the Heat stacked up already, the Celtics will definitely need the Jason Terry of old that helped the Mavericks win a title. Maybe shaking things up for Boston turns out to be a good idea.
