It seems that owner Jerry Jones is up to his old tricks once again, this time with current wide receiver, Dez Bryant. Lately, the young wideout has gotten himself into some legal problems. The Cowboys want to minimize the damage by placing multiple guidelines in terms of Bryant’s conduct away from the field.
Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys has been known to have his share of problematic players in the past. The Dallas Cowboys were always willing to provide players with a second chance even if it meant disregarding any legal troubles that may have been associated with that particular player.
Defensive tackle Tank Johnson and cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones were two players that come to mind. After being released by the Chicago Bears in 2007, the Cowboys signed defensive tackle Tank Johnson despite his legal issues off the field. Dallas had also given Adam Jones an opportunity to play for the team despite his unacceptable behavior away from the game of football.
The Cowboys were very much focused on steering Pacman Jones to the right direction. In order to do so, the team had provided Pacman Jones with a bodyguard to watch his every move. As many of you know, the plan was unsuccessful and the Cowboys had no choice, but to release the troubled cornerback.
The very same guidelines that were given to Pacman Jones in the past are now being handed down to Dez Bryant. These protocols ranges anywhere from midnight curfews, counseling sessions, and get this… avoiding alcohol as well as visiting strip clubs. Similar to Pacman Jones, a bodyguard will also tail the young Bryant, however this time; Bryant has been given the opportunity to choose his own protector.
Dez Bryant and his advisors accepted the rules and regulations. The guidelines were placed on August 23rd. For Bryant’s sake and the Cowboys, let’s hope that this plan doesn’t turn out like the Pacman Jones incident.

Just another reason why the Cowboys will fail yet again.
You really think so Jeremy? The Cowboys are indeed suffering through some injuries, but we believe Dallas will be there in the end.
But he can always order in.
Even ordering out needs permission. Imagine? hehe
Can we have an outsider arbitrator telling Jerry what he can and can’t do? For starters, don’t rap in a Papa Jones commercial.
Good one Jed! We surely hope Jerry Jones doesn’t quit his day job.

What was it that Jones and the rest of the front office of the Cowboys couldn’t disseminate concerning Bryant’s character? The clues were already there concerning his behavior in college. Yet somehow an a## wipe like Jerry Jones recently bemoaned the fact that the wide receiver is somewhat immature?
Unless I’m mistaken, when Michael Irvin during his hedonistic days with the Cowboys was doin’ coke and layin’ the pipe to any skank with a pulse, there was very little coming out of the owner’s mouth by way of a reprimand for the player. I suppose it all came down to winning? Something of which the Cowboys haven’t been doing a lot of lately.
You know what Alan, we actually heard that surprisingly enough, Dez Bryant was actually the one that requested for help. Dez Bryant knew there was a lot of pressure around him and we actually applaud him for trying to be mature for once. At one point or another, the Cowboys have to let go. Let’s see where Dez Bryant ends up.
In terms of Michael Irvin, when you’re winning, it almost feels like you can’t do anything wrong. Which player do you think comes close to being the next Michael Irvin? Austin or Bryant?
