The Cleveland Browns had drafted two rookies in the first round at this year’s NFL draft hoping to finally change the culture of the franchise.
After Week 1, one rookie, regardless of being held to only 39 rushing yards, seems to be on his way to becoming a star in the league. The other rookie is still trying to catch up to the “speed” of a NFL regular season game.
Against the Philadelphia Eagles, rookie RB Trent Richardson made his presence felt by literally running over Eagles’ safety Kurt Coleman. The impact of the hit was severe and was worth every penny.
Watch:
On the other hand, prior to the start of the game, Brandon Weeden during warm-ups hilariously had gotten caught underneath the American flag on the field. You knew that after this happened; the worst was yet to come and indeed it did. We’d ruin it if we tried explaining. See for yourself.
Watch:
Rookie QB Brandon Weeden had one of the worst NFL games statistically as a quarterback. Weeden was atrocious completing only 12 out of 25 for 118 yards along with 4 interceptions and an embarrassing 5.1 QB rating.
After losing to the Eagles with the score of 17-16, Weeden and the Cleveland Browns hope to turn things around in Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Oh the Browns. Forever awful. And it will never change. LOL!
Surprisingly, they gave Vick and the Eagles some trouble. Weeden needs to play better for Cleveland to even have a chance at being competitive.
The Browns were as inspiring as Richard Simmons would be to an obese individual.
They’re a bad team with a “less than average” quarterback.
Tophatal ……….
The Browns defense played well enough to win in Week 1, but as we have said in the past, Brandon Weeden needs to play way better in order for the Browns to even be competitive in the NFL. There’s just no other way to say it.
Ouch! Posterization!
I was hoping the Bucs would have had a shot at Richardson in last year’s draft but knew he wouldn’t drop that far.
Either way, it looks like we have ourselves a fine, young back in Doug Martin.
Definitely Chris. We’re waiting to see Martin in a few more games to declare him as one of the future stars in the league along with RGIII. The NFL is changing right in front of our eyes.
