Kobe Bryant, also known as the “Black Mamba” has once again fulfilled another major accomplishment in his NBA career. After scoring 29 points against the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night, Bryant becomes the youngest ever in NBA history to score 30,000 points.

By breaking the mark, the 34-year-old Bryant joins a group filled with NBA legends, such as Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, and Bryant’s role model Michael Jordan.

So how did Kobe Bryant break the 30,000 points mark? The “Black Mamba” drove to the lane and pulled off a floater right over Hornets’ center, Robin Lopez. It was as easy as any other basket Bryant had scored during his 17-year career.

After the game, Kobe Bryant was asked about his achievement.

“Honestly, I don’t why I’m still working as hard as I am after 17 years,” said Bryant. “It’s just, I enjoy what I do. I think that’s the thing I’m most proud of is every year and every day working hard at it. It’s a lot of years, a lot of work.”

Like it or not, it’s time to start dropping Kobe Bryant’s name when it comes to NBA legends that were the best to ever play on the hardwood.
