New York Jets’ quarterback Mark Sanchez who started 15 games for the team had a 6-9 record as the starter and had a very poor season with an embarrassing 66.9 QB Rating, a 54.3 completion percentage, and a whopping 32 turnovers in the 2012-13 NFL season (18 INT’s and 14 fumbles).
Yet, with all the hardships under center, Jets’ coach Rex Ryan did not budge and instead allowed the slumping Sanchez to continue and play throughout games. Many New York fans were left stunned, but we may have finally solved the reason as to why Rex Ryan had been so adamant about starting QB Mark Sanchez.
While on vacation in the Bahamas, a photograph was taken of coach Rex Ryan and his arm, which showed a tattoo of his wife wearing a Mark Sanchez number six jersey. Apparently, Ryan has had the tattoo for years, but has managed to keep it under wraps.
After taking the picture, Rex Ryan supposedly scolded and scared away the reporter, but damage was unfortunately already done.
The fact that Rex Ryan would even get a tattoo of one of his players is insane. If Ryan was so determined to get a tattoo, why not of Raven’s future Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis? At least the tattoo would’ve been commendable. With Rex Ryan, you just never know what you’re going to get.
Talk about the Jets continuing to hit the newspapers for all the wrong reasons. Even with the season done, the “Gang Green Circus” seems to still be open.

Looking forward to another year of him as head coach of the Jets.
Of course, I’m no Jets fan. I’m sure they feel differently.
Rex Ryan has one more chance not to wet the bed. Tom Gamble is locked to win the Jets’ GM job and one more hiccup from Ryan and he’s out the door for sure.
The apathy within the New Jersey New York area is comical. Rex Ryan should consider himself lucky he retained his job, never mind the idiocy of the fans out there calling for Tebow to become a starter . That team has been an embarrassment all season long in more ways than one.
Tophatal ….
Rex Ryan can definitely be considered lucky. Like we said, he has one more chance. Another bad season and it’s almost definite he’ll be looking for another job.
The franchise’s owner apparently wants to own the back pages of the tabloids more than own the Lombardi Trophy. In that regard, Rex seems to be the slam-dunk best guy to lead his team.
Rex Ryan has gotten too much attention these past years. Yes, it’s New York, but goodness the guy just seems to always overshadow the actual team. What’s the deal with that?
