On Tuesday morning, Los Angeles Clippers’ leader and All-Star point guard Chris Paul had released a “tweet” regarding a high school student named Ryan Wood.
For those who don’t know Ryan Wood, he’s a young man who had been diagnosed with cancer back in April 2012, but managed to beat the sickness in August. Unfortunately, the cancer returned again in November of last year forcing Ryan’s family to cope with this sad matter once again.
In January 2013, Ryan Wood’s doctors had informed him and his family that he had only three to four weeks left to live because of his uncured disease.
Chris Paul heard of this news and while it might not be considered a tremendous gesture by any stretch of the imagination, decided to push his 1.7 million Twitter followers to “retweet” the below created Twitter “hashtag.”
Again, this might not be a great deal of news to some of you, but sometimes the little things is all it takes for someone who’s in need of help to bounce back strong. Get well Ryan, we believe in you!
If you happen to have a Twitter account, you know what to do.

Paul is a class act, a hard guy not to like.
Unless of course, you’d have to defend him for 48 minutes.
I probably wouldn’t like him very much then.
Not many athletes would take the time to do a great deed, such as the one Paul made. It’s worth letting people know what type of person CP3 really is.
Commendable action by Chris Paul! Unfortunately the same can’t be said of that blowhard Carmelo Anthony no matter how many times he tries to re-image himself.
Melo got up in KG’s face, what was he going to do? Kiss Garnett’s a#s? Because he sure as well wasn’t going to “throw down.” Melo ain’t that tough.
Tophatal….
Ouch, a hard hit on “Melo” Alan. Yes, nothing happened, but if Melo and KG really went at it, who do you think ends up on the floor? KG is a bit old now.
Always thought Paul was a class act and selfishly hoped somehow he could stay in New Orleans and keep that city “above water” in NBA relevance. He’s an enjoyable player to watch but.. indeed… I wouldn’t want to guard the guy either!
We agree, not too many players are like Chris Paul, a true leader among leaders.
