In the midst of trying to fly out from New York to North Carolina, Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defensive end Da’Quan Bowers was arrested today for carrying a .40 caliber gun into LaGuardia airport.
The All-American defensive end from Clemson had been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and is scheduled for his court hearing on Monday evening.
This is certainly one of those unexplainable situations that should never happen, especially if the person is already a professional and making more income than others. Out of all the places to bring a gun, Bowers chose to carry a weapon inside the airport. Unbelievable.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have since been informed of the situation, but has not yet provided a comment.
“We are aware of the situation and are gathering information. We will withhold comment until we know all the facts.”

If the Bucs don’t cut Bowers then their just as dumb as this moron ! Who the hell carries a gun loaded or not unto a domestic aircraft in violation of FAA rules ? Last I looked, Da’quan Bowers was not a Federal Marshall or a member of any federal law enforcement agency . I guess there’s a reason behind the Wonderlic Test after all ! It doesn’t necessarily sort out the dumb a$s from the dumb as@es . It simply let’s you know the level of the dumb @sses that will be drafted into the NFL .

Ouch. Alan goes off again. What Da’Quan Bowers did was stupid and definitely uncalled for. We’re sure he’s starting to understand that right about now.
This was obviously big news in the Bay Area.
We’re all kind of waiting to see what happens now and in particular, how the organization handles this.
That’s right Chris, it’s right around your way. We are curious as well to see what the disciplinary action would be. At least a few games for suspension.
