On the very first playoff game in Brooklyn Nets history, Nets 6’6 shooting guard/small forward Jerry Stackhouse surprised everyone by singing the Star Spangled Banner.
As “Stack” stood in the middle of the court with the mic, honestly, we were thinking that this was the worst idea the Nets could’ve thought of. However, Jerry Stackhouse proved us wrong. “Stack” sang surprisingly well and did Brooklyn very proud.
The Brooklyn Nets took the lid off the stadium in Game 1 of the 2013 NBA Playoffs by running over the Chicago Bulls with the score of 106-89.
If the Nets are going to play this way whenever their teammate sings, Brooklyn should have Jerry Stackhouse singing on every home game. We’re just saying.
