The shot-blocking Brazilian was drafted by the Boston Celtics in last year’s draft, but never really got the chance to play on the “big show.” Melo predominantly participated with the Celtics’ D-League team (Maine Red Claws).
The Grizzlies, the team that traded with the Celtics for Melo owes the young center $1.3 million dollars unless another team grabs him from the waivers.
Fab Melo had been playing so poorly lately; it’s going to be tough to find another home.
