If some of you were bummed for not being able to watch the Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez fight last Saturday, don’t feel bad because you certainly didn’t miss much.
If you were a Floyd Mayweather fan, you enjoyed every second of the pounding the undefeated champion gave the young Alvarez. However, if you were an avid boxing fan, you turned off the television with a bad taste in your mouth simply due to the lack of competition on Alvarez’s side.
Anyway, what’s done is done and now the boxers need to be paid. Floyd Mayweather was already scheduled to receive $41.5 million for the fight, however per Business Insider, “Money May” is set to also be paid for the pay-per-view numbers the fight had gotten. An estimated figure has Floyd Mayweather reaching $100 million dollars for one fight. For a night where Mayweather didn’t have a scratch on his body, as usual, it was a walk in the park for the 36-year-old champion.
Here’s a picture of Mayweather’s check. Floyd was billed $605K for tickets he purchased for family and friends as well as $25K for the doping tests for him and Alvarez. There are reports that the check might be fake, but we figured to show it to you folks anyway.
We know, why show the picture of the check right? It just gets all of us real jealous.
