Rams Punt Returner Gets Hit With A Wrecking Ball

When it comes to the Seattle Seahawks, tackling hard and knocking opponents off the ball is mandatory. Seattle has never taken that notion lightly, with the team once again proving it on the last week of the NFL regular season against the St. Louis Rams.

On a regular punt, Seahawks’ special teamer and wide receiver Ricardo Lockette literally destroyed Rams’ returner Justin Veltung. Lockette came in like a car without any brakes and Veltung was a deer caught in the headlights.

As usual, it was a regular day at work for the Seahawks as Seattle upended the Rams with the score of 27-9. With the win, Seattle enters the playoffs clinching home-field advantage.

Every week many guys in the NFL are playing just to get an invite back for the following week. Nowhere are we more reminded of that than on special teams. Even though the NFL is wary about keeping kickoff returns around they’re gonna have to find an awfully radical way to alter the “simple” act of punting the ball away…and returning it!
